Selling tickets online with QRACCESS
Sell tickets online through your own payment gateway: buyers pay you directly via Stripe, PayPal, Redsys or CECA, pick their seat on a venue map, and receive a QR ticket by email. This guide walks the whole route — sales module, payment gateway, venue map, ticket types and per-session quotas, the sales page and order management.

1. Turn on the ticket sales module
Ticket sales start with a sales-type group in the QRACCESS web dashboard.
- Sign in at control.qraccess.com and create a group or event of the sales type.
- Set the name, the dates and the general details of the event (see the guide on setting up an event).
- Create the sessions or shifts of the event: one-off or repeating — daily or weekly passes, for example.
- Give each session its sales cut-off: how long before the start ticket sales close.
2. Connect your own payment gateway
Ticket money goes straight to you. Every charge runs on the organiser's own payment gateway — QRACCESS never sits between you and your revenue. You can connect any of these four:
- Stripe Connect, linking your own Stripe account.
- PayPal, with your PayPal account.
- Redsys, the Spanish banks' virtual POS, with Bizum payments included.
- CECA, the virtual POS of the CECA banking system.
If a payment fails after the charge has already gone through, Stripe and PayPal refunds are issued automatically by the system; with Redsys and CECA the refund is handled from the bank's terminal. Per-attendee costs are on the pricing page.
3. Build the venue: a map with zones, rows and seats
For events with numbered seating, define the venue map before creating the ticket types.
- Create the zones of the venue — stalls, balcony or floor, for example.
- In numbered zones, define the rows and the seats; for standing crowds, create unnumbered zones.
- During checkout, the buyer picks their seat directly on the venue map.
- The system can also assign the "best available seat" automatically.
4. Create ticket types and per-session quotas
Ticket types define what is sold; sessions define when it is sold and with what capacity.
- Create each ticket type with its price and, if you need them, a minimum and maximum per order and discount coupons.
- Assign to each session the ticket types on sale in it.
- Every session has a total capacity: the hard limit of places for that shift.
- Within that capacity you can set a quota per ticket type; types without a quota sell against the remaining capacity.
- Quotas split the total capacity — the session never sells beyond its capacity.
5. Publish the sales page
With sessions, ticket types and the gateway configured, publish the sales page and link it from your website or your social media.
- The buyer chooses session, ticket type and seat, and pays online.
- They receive their ticket by email with a QR code; for numbered events, the ticket shows the zone, the row and the seat.
- The ticket can be added to Apple Wallet (PKPass).
6. Manage orders, refunds and access on event day
After the sale, everything is handled from the same dashboard, and QR check-in at the door runs on the QRACCESS app.
- Manage orders from the dashboard: refunds, edits and cancellations.
- Validate access with the app: scanning the QR code highlights the attendee's zone, row and seat.
- Record entries and exits, and keep scanning without coverage in offline mode (see the guide on using the app online and offline).
- Create scanner users with limited permissions for the door staff.
