Badges and certificates for conferences
The conference problem

The main door is easy. The rooms are not.

Most platforms handle the entrance. A conference is a dozen parallel doors with different rules, and that is where the day goes wrong.

Workshops with limited places

Give each session its own capacity. When it is full, the app says so at the door instead of letting in the twenty-first person to a room of twenty.

Ticket types per room

Full pass, day pass, speaker, press. Split each session's capacity between them, so a day pass cannot fill the room the full passes paid for.

Who is in the room now

Entries and exits, so you can see occupancy live — which is what fire limits actually depend on.

Certificates

Hours that survive an audit

For accredited conferences, the certificate is the deliverable. Ours are built from the scans: hours per day and a total, calculated from when each person actually entered and left.

Sessions that run past midnight count correctly, and missing exits are flagged rather than quietly counted as zero.

The batch send reports exactly who did not receive theirs and why — not a green tick that hides the failures.

International editions

Six languages, including the ones nobody bothers with

The panel, the registration page and the emails run in English, Spanish, French, Catalan, Basque and Galician. Each attendee gets their badge in the language they registered in.

For a conference rotating between countries, that means the committee works in their language and the attendees receive theirs, without a separate installation per edition.
