August updates: renewed platform, unlimited offline scans, and two dates worth noting
Everything that changed in QRACCESS in August: the platform migration, the definitive fix for offline scan uploads, SMSverifica, Spain's sender-ID registry deadline and the Mailrelay change that affects free-account senders.
August was the busiest month of groundwork in years, and almost all of it shares one trait: you didn't have to do anything. Here is what changed, with measured — not estimated — figures, and the two dates worth writing down.
A renewed platform, with a seconds-long cutover
We migrated QRACCESS (August 22) and QRACCESS (August 24) to the new version of the system. The cutover took seconds, in the small hours, and every record, image and credential came through intact. What arrives with it:
- Venues and spaces: sites, zones and per-zone capacity, with numbered seating where you need it.
- Per-event, per-channel alerts (email/SMS) and access notifications to third parties — a guardian, a company, whoever you decide.
- Attendance certificates fixed: the hours table renders complete again with the standard template.
- New documentation: user manual, venues manual, ticketing manual and the API reference, in the help section.
- An API up to 4× faster: response time went from ~180 to ~35 milliseconds, measured in production.
Offline scans, fixed at the root
Some users noticed that after working offline, part of the accumulated scans failed to register once the connection came back. We found the exact cause — with very large queues, the upload could time out midway — and it is fixed and validated with mass testing:
- A test event with 51,000 attendees: 50,000 scans processed with 0 errors and 0 losses.
- Offline queue uploads run at ~1,000 scans per second: a full day's backlog registers in seconds.
- Network retries never duplicate: every scan travels with a unique identifier and is written exactly once.
- Several scanners reading the same QR at once: zero double entries.

SMSverifica, and a hard deadline: September 15
SMS sending now runs on SMSverifica, our own messaging platform: deliveries, credit, sender IDs and API credentials in one panel. If you send with your own Altiria credentials today, nothing changes for you — they keep working, and migration will happen customer by customer with individual notice.
The important date is another one: on September 15, 2026 Spain starts blocking SMS whose alphanumeric sender ID is not registered in the CNMC alias registry. If your messages go out under your company name and that alias is not registered and approved before that date, carriers will stop delivering them. We handle registration centrally: send us your exact sender ID and we will include it in the filing.
If you send email through a free Mailrelay account: this affects you
In August, Mailrelay withdrew SMTP/API sending from its free accounts. If you configured QRACCESS credential and email sending with a free Mailrelay account, those emails have stopped going out. Two ways to fix it today:
- Configure another SMTP provider. The SMTP setup guide has step-by-step sheets for a dozen providers.
- Prepaid Mailrelay Enterprise credit, through us: no monthly fee and the credit never expires. Launch offer: 25,000 emails with the discount applied.
Either way, the panel change takes two minutes: host, username and password under Settings → Email.
